Privacy Policy

1 Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us through the forms on this site:

• Pre-order list. Your name and email address.
• Beta tester application. Your name, email address, a description of the RC rig you run, and your reason for wanting to test BlueLinkRC.
• Your consent record. When you check the consent box on a form, we store the exact wording you agreed to and the date and time you agreed to it. We keep this as proof that you opted in, and so we can show you what you originally agreed to.

We do not require an account, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.

2 The BlueLinkRC companion app

The companion app is the tool you use to pair your controller and tune your rig. It is designed to work without an account, and to keep your data on your device wherever possible.

Bluetooth

The app uses your device's Bluetooth to connect to your BlueLinkRC board and your controller. This connection is local, between your phone and your hardware — we do not receive or store the contents of that connection. On some devices, the operating system may ask for Bluetooth or nearby-device permission (and, on certain Android versions, location permission) in order to scan for and connect to Bluetooth hardware. We do not use these permissions to track your location.

Your tuning settings

Settings you create in the app — such as steering rate, throttle curves, endpoints, and rig profiles — are stored locally on your device. We do not require you to upload them to us.

Diagnostics

The app may collect limited, non-identifying technical information — such as app version, device model, operating system, and crash or error reports — to help us fix bugs and improve stability. Where required, we ask for your consent first, and you can opt out in the app's settings.

3 How we use your information

• To notify you when pre-orders open and to share launch updates about BlueLinkRC.
• To review beta tester applications and contact selected applicants.
• To respond to questions you send us directly.

4 How we share it

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate — and only so they can perform that work on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law.

The providers we currently rely on for this website are:

• Supabase — stores form submissions in a hosted database.
• Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides the anti-spam check on our forms.

5 Consent, email & opting out

We only add you to our email list if you actively check the consent box on one of our forms. The box is never pre-checked, and we don't add anyone who hasn't opted in. Signing up is the only way you end up on our list — we don't buy, rent, or scrape email addresses.

Unsubscribing

Every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link that works immediately and doesn't require you to log in or reply. Once you use it, we stop sending you marketing email and record the date you opted out. You can also email us at hello@bluelinkrc.com and we'll remove you manually.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it's as easy to withdraw as it was to give. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything we did while your consent was still in place.

6 Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it — for example, until pre-orders ship, or until you ask us to delete it. When it's no longer needed, we remove it.

In practice that means:

• Pre-order list. Until launch is complete, or until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion.
• Beta applications. Through the beta program, after which we delete applications we didn't select unless you've asked to stay on the list.
• Consent records. Kept alongside your entry for as long as we hold it, since they're the evidence of your opt-in.
• Backups. We take routine backups so your information isn't lost by accident. Deleted entries may persist in a backup for up to 90 days before rolling off.

7 Your choices & rights

• Ask what information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Unsubscribe from our emails at any time.

8 Your privacy rights by state

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws. These can include the right to know what personal information we hold, the right to access a copy of it, the right to correct or delete it, the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of it (note: we do not sell your personal information), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@bluelinkrc.com. We will verify your request — typically by confirming control of the email address on file — and respond within the timeframe your state's law requires. You may also authorize someone to make a request on your behalf.

Arkansas residents

BlueLinkRC LLC is based in Arkansas. We handle the personal information of Arkansas residents in accordance with applicable Arkansas law, including the Arkansas Personal Information Protection Act.

9 Data breach notification

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you give us. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but in the event of a security breach that compromises your personal information, we will:

• Investigate the incident and take steps to contain it without unreasonable delay.
• Notify affected individuals and any regulators as required by applicable law, including the Arkansas Personal Information Protection Act.
• Describe what happened, what information was involved, and what you can do to protect yourself.

10 Changes to this policy

As BlueLinkRC grows toward launch, this policy may change. When it does, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated by email where appropriate.
